01What is Nook?

Nook is an iPhone app for adult parents and carers. It brings everyday care records, shared handovers, sleep and rhythm views, private family moments and age-aware ideas into one calm family space.

02Is Nook medical or health advice?

No. Nook is an organisational tool, not a medical device, clinical record, baby monitor or emergency service. Guidance and likely timing are general information and are always kept separate from recorded facts. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional about health, feeding, sleep safety or development concerns. In an emergency, call 000 in Australia or your local emergency number.

03How does Nook keep family information private?

Family records use the owner’s private Apple iCloud and CloudKit database. Access is shared through Apple’s private sharing permissions only with carers the owner chooses. Nook does not sell data, show advertising or use cross-app tracking.

04What is stored in Nook?

You decide what to add. This can include a child’s display name and optional birth date, care events and notes, family moments, photos or videos, app preferences and sharing permissions. Nook Ping names and phone numbers that you enter stay device-local rather than becoming shared family records.

05Can I control who sees our family space?

Yes. The family owner chooses who to invite and can remove a participant. Invited carers can only access the family through Apple’s private CloudKit share. Removing a participant revokes their future cloud access.

06Can I export or delete our information?

Yes. Nook includes tools to export family data and media, erase offline data from a device, leave a shared family and manage access. The family owner can permanently delete the family’s CloudKit records for everyone.

07What is the difference between a record and guidance?

A record is something a carer logged, such as a feed or sleep. Guidance, suggested ranges and likely timing are estimates based on the information available. Nook labels them differently so an estimate is never presented as something that definitely happened.

08What is Nook Ping?

Nook Ping helps an adult carer quickly ask a trusted person for practical help or hand over useful context. It is not an emergency alert and delivery is not guaranteed. Contact emergency services directly if anyone may be in danger.

09How much will Nook cost?

The planned Australian price is A$12.99 per month or A$139.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible Apple accounts. Final local pricing, trial eligibility, billing and cancellation details will be shown by Apple before purchase.

10How do subscriptions work?

Subscriptions will be billed through Apple and renew automatically unless cancelled in your Apple account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles payment processing and refund requests.

11Can I share my Nook subscription with family or carers?

You may share Nook with up to five other members of your Apple Family Sharing group when Apple supplies a verified shared StoreKit entitlement. Inviting someone to the family’s private CloudKit care space is separate and never proves that they have paid access. An invited carer outside the subscriber’s Apple family must have their own verified Nook subscription.

12When and where will Nook be available?

Nook is coming soon to iPhone. The website will be updated when the App Store release is ready.
